EU-only release containing the complete original LP Stan Meets Chet, pairing the great Stan Getz and Chet Baker in a quintet format. The recordings of these two masters playing together are limited to a series of 1953/54 dates taped at the Haig and the Tiffany clubs, the 1958 album presented here, a brief encounter at the 1964 Newport Jazz Festival, and a few 1983 concerts recorded during a disastrous European tour together (due to the lack of mutual understanding between the two stars). We have completed the 1958 session with extended 1954 readings of 'All the Things You Are' and 'Crazy Rhythm,' which were recorded without an audience at the Tiffany Club.
