- THE PANS LOOK DRY — THAT'S NORMAL, NOT A DEFECT: Alcohol-activated makeup is designed to look dry, cracked, or "half-empty" in the pan. This is how the product works — add 1–3 drops of the included Activator directly into the pan, let it soak for a few seconds until the surface looks creamy, then apply with a brush or sponge. The colors are highly pigmented and a small amount goes a long way. If your pans look dry, they are working exactly as intended.
